Being an instructor or teacher, is simply the sharing or passing on of knowledge from one generation to another.  The way it is passed on varies from culture to culture.  Here at the Lair we mix a little Chinese culture with our own American heritage.  When teaching Modern Gung Fu, it is critical to establish Respect, both from the student to the teacher, and the teacher to the student.

Being an Instructor here at the Lair is no small task.  First and foremost you must be an exceptional student, showing the desire to help others unselfishly, strict discipline in and out of class, always paying attention to the Instructor in charge of class, timely attendance, being prepared, a neat and clean uniform, and personal hygene are needed just to get started.

Sifu Jason Hollingsworth

Sifu Jason Hollingsworth was the first certified instructor under Sibok Cary Hiatt and was instrumental in the development of Modern Gung Fu. He started his training in Seattle with Sibok Cary Hiatt in 1997 and now teaches out of California.  He has since moved on to his true roots of savate boxing.

Sihing Laura Olson

Sihing Laura is a Junior Instructor-In-Training and works with the Junior and Junior Adult classes.

Sihing Mike McRoberts

Sihing Mike is a Junior Instructor-In-Training and works with the Juniors classes.  He has trained with Sibok Hiatt since 2001.

Jen Acey, Kick-boxing/Aerobics Instructor

Jen Acey has been with the Dragon's Lair for several years and currently works with the Kick-boxing/Aerobics programs and serves as the office administrator.
